Happy #InternationalWomensDay! In celebration of this day, safeNUS would like to take the time to honour a powerful and inspiring woman - Tarana Burke.
A civil rights activist, she founded the #MeToo movement in 2006 to raise awareness of sexual assault in society. The movement went viral in 2017, raising many important conversations around the world about how we can better tackle sexual violence and gender stereotypes.
Tarana's work shows that change is possible if one sets their mind to it, and safeNUS is proud to work for change towards a safer and more inclusive campus for all. What change do you want to see?
